The anatomically shaped, Cervical support by Samson offers perfect immobilization of the neck and minimal contact. The pre-formed chin support provides chin lock and prevents the neck rotation for strong immobilization, the chin rest improves comfort.
Cervical orthosis are commonly used by patients who have had a surgical intervention of the cervical spine, to immobilise the neck. It is also used for the treatment of neck pain, caused by acute trauma or chronic pain. The cervical support prevents or minimises the motion in the cervical spine. It keeps the head in a comfortable gravity aligned position, maintaining normal cervical lordosis. Cervical orthosis comes with a tracheotomy opening that allows it to be used along with endotracheal tube, improves air ventilation and enhances comfort and compliance. The two-piece design allows easy application, firm occipital support and option for varying rigidity.
