Hair fall during the rainy season is extremely common. Reports suggest that during monsoon, people experience 30% more hair fall. This is due to more humidity in the atmosphere which makes our hair greasy that eventually leads to hair fall and dandruff. If one does not take immediate action, greasy hair can also lead to fungal infections, weakening roots and patchy scalp.
Here are a few quick tips and tricks to control hair fall and strengthen hair at home.
Use a mild shampoo During the rainy season, you must try and keep your hair clean and dry. You will have to wash them frequently to avoid greasy, sticky hair. It is important to use a mild, light shampoo during monsoon as shampoos with harsh chemicals may adversely affect your hair especially the delicate roots. Opt for a light herbal shampoo that will keep your hair clean and also help you strengthen your hair follicles.
Oiling is important As always, hair oil plays a vital role in order to help you control hair fall. Choose an almond or tea tree hair oil. Almond hair oil contains a high amount of vitamin E which is essential in strengthening hair follicles. On the other hand, tea tree oil has anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that help in keeping your hair clean and dry.
Apply lemon to the scalp Lemon juice can come handy, to keep your hair dry, shiny and healthy during monsoon. Apply lemon juice on the scalp and leave it for 15 minutes. Rinse it with lukewarm water. The result will be soft, shiny and healthy hair.
